“Party with a Paintbrush”

Bottle & Bottega – Art Uncorked is a unique art studio located at 1406 SW Broadway in Portland.  We missed our stop on the train due to re-routing.  While finding our way on foot to our destination, we chanced upon this amazing art studio.  Often times this is how we find amazing places and this one ranks high in discoveries.  Upon entering Sarah greeted us with a smile and energy that was truly engaging.  You immediately feel welcomed and excited to be there.  The energy was incredible and everyone was excited to start their event.  It truly had the feeling of “party with a paintbrush”.

Artist Options

The really cool thing is you don’t have to be an artist.  These artist led events take you through the process to help you to create your own masterpiece.  Looking around at some of the completed artwork, I noticed you don’t have to paint just on canvas.  Some people chose to design their own wine glasses!  At the time we were there, we saw a “Happily Ever After Party” in progress.  In addition to the wedding type parties, they other offer team building, public and private special events.  If we would have had more time, I would have loved to stick around to be part of the next public class.

Here’s just a bit of what we saw when we walked around the space.  I didn’t want to interrupt the groups in action but I couldn’t help but be drawn to some of the incredible pieces on display.  I personally love the painting on the wine glasses.  What an awesome way to create something unique and personal to you!  Creativity at Bottles and Bottega is alive and well.  I love seeing what people are doing to have fun and tap into their own personal talents.

Final Thoughts

This is definitely something you need to come down and experience.  Just being in the room lifted my spirits.  Maybe it was all the laughter or the fact that everyone was really having fun.  We  often tell ourselves “oh I can’t do that” and yet you can!  It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be done by you.  Stop telling yourself what you can’t do and jump on in and try something new!  So come on down and unleash your inner artist!
